25 years Celebrating the Joy of Movement

Team Programs

Skyview Teams  offer children the opportunity to pursue gymnastics to a more advanced level, to participate in USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic competition, and to perform on National and International stages. Gymnastics is a difficult and beautiful sport, with lessons to teach about teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and the power of a positive attitude. The challenges and rewards of making a serious commitment to the sport are incomparable. Gymnasts are among the strongest and healthiest of all young athletes - physically and mentally. It is our goal to give every athlete the opportunity to excel, and to do so in a positive, nurturing atmosphere.

Team Try-Outs and a Special Team Camp

are held each Summer for students interested in

Competition or the Skyview Performance Team

Next year's camp will be June 24-28 (ONE WEEK ONLY)

Team Camp is open to ALL Skyview students who have participated in

(at least) Gym 2, Tumble 2, Boys 2 or AcroGym B classes during the year.

Half Day Preteam/Introductory sessions are available for  younger students.

Acro/Tumbling Demonstration Team

Diane Floyd - Head Coach & Choreographer

Skyview Teams have been performing at local community fairs and festivals since 1996!  Our Gymdancers have been "regulars" at the Mount Airy Fall Festival and May Fest,  Damascus Community Fair, Frederick In the Street, Clarksburg, Kemptown, Urbana and Green Valley school fairs, the Mount Airy Santa Parade and fundraisers for Frederick Hospice, Carroll County Youth Services Bureau, and many others for many years.   We've been on hiatus for a couple of years, but we are aiming for a comeback in 2018.  Join us!

The Acro/Tumbling Demonstration Team is offered as an "add-on" to students and members of Skyview Competitive Teams - an opportunity to share one's love of gymnastics and practice the art of our beautiful sport.

We're on our way again!

1999 - Sweden, 2003 - Portugal

2007 - Austria, 2011 - Switzerland, 2015 - Finland

2019 - Dornbirn, Austria

It's not just for kids!  Skyview World Gymnaestrada Teams are FAMILY adventures.

And YOU are invited!

No experience required.  All you need is a love of movement and an adventurous spirit.   We'll start out in the Fall with 2 evening/weekend practices per week and build to the final stretch in the Spring.  Higher level (student & alumni) groups will work through the regular Class schedule -  starting in the September.

Jenny Alterton will be the Head of the

Skyview Delegation
