Gymnastics for ALL
Skyview Team Programs
Skyview Teams and the Athletes' Theater Program offer children the opportunity to pursue gymnastics to a more advanced level, to participate in USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic competition, and to perform on National and International stages. Gymnastics is a difficult and beautiful sport, with lessons to teach about teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and the power of a positive attitude. The challenges and rewards of making a serious commitment to the sport are incomparable. Gymnasts are among the strongest and healthiest of all young athletes - physically and mentally. It is our goal to give every athlete the opportunity to excel, and to do so in a positive, nurturing atmosphere.
Gymnastics for All - Power Team Gym
Gymnastics for All (GFA)
Gymnastics for All is one of the eight gymnastics sport disciplines officially recognized by The International Gymnastics Federation and gymnastics organizations worldwide. It provides opportunities and activities for all ages and levels of abilities and includes Power Team Gym, Group Performance (Gymfests & Gymnaestradas), Gym for Life Challenges, and the HUGS program for children with special needs.
Skyview has been active in the Gymnastics for All program since 1997 (when it was called Group Gymnastics). Skyview Teams have traveled to compete and perform all over the US, and to World Gymnaestradas in Sweden, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, and, most recently, Helsinki, Finland. We're beginning preparations, this year, for a second trip to Austria in 2019!

Power TeamGym is a competitive version of group gymnastics in which athletes compete as a group in two events — Group Floor Exercise and Group Jump. The Jump event includes Tumbling, Vault & MiniTramp. There are 10 graded difficulty levels. Skyview has had several competitive TeamGym groups over the years (and a trophy or two to prove it) and we hope to have a full squad (or two) for the 2017-18 Season.
