All Star Camp is an introduction to Skyview Team Programs, and an opportunity for young athletes with a little bit of experience to try working more intensively. We explore Trampoline, Tumbling, Acrobatics, Artistic Gymnastics (Men's and Women's events), and the art of group performance - which is Skyview's specialty.
Everyone participates in skills testing and will be evaluated for placement on teams, but All Star Camp is really about sharing our love for gymnastics! No commitment to the Team program is required.
There will be crafts, games, group challenges, and a
pot luck picnic feast on the last day - our "Celebration of Stars!"Participants must be at least 6 years old (entering 1st grade) with approximately Level 3 floor skills: solid handstand, forward and backward rolls, cartwheel on both sides, back walkover (not required for boys), round-off/rebound - all performed consistently and with good to excellent technique. If you are interested, but not sure if you qualify, please ask your instructor or call the office to set up an evaluation. 301-829-7998. There will a meeting for parents who would like to learn more about Skyview Team programs on Monday, August 17th at 3:30 and 6:30pm. Registration for new Team members must be completed by August 24th. Team workouts for the 2009-2010 season will begin the week of August 24th.
